Somewhere in the United States today a student is unable to finish his homework, a father will not be able to find a job and a mother will not be able to seek proper medical attention. Today broadband is a basic need and provides information that is vital to quality of life and economic stability. Unfortunately 1/3 of Americans remain unconnected and they are overwhelmingly people of color.
Last year, One Economy formed a historic collaboration with this country’s leading civil rights organizations called the Broadband Opportunity Coalition (BBOC). Our goal is break down the barriers to people getting online and getting the information they need to improve their lives.
Connect Today, Change Your Tomorrow is one of the most important campaigns of our times. People need to be aware of the benefits of broadband, learn how to use technology and connect to online resources that will improve their future.
